The longest-range electric scooters in 2026

Range claims are measured in ideal conditions: a light rider, eco mode, flat ground and mild weather. They're still the best way to compare scooters, because every brand tests the same optimistic way.

We rank by the manufacturer's claimed range and show battery size in watt-hours next to it, which is the most honest single number for comparing range. Each pick also notes what owners and independent testers report.

How to choose

Watt-hours beat miles

Battery capacity (Wh) is harder to exaggerate than a range claim. As a rule of thumb, adult scooters use roughly 15–25 Wh per mile in real riding.

Plan for 60–75%

Independent tests and owners typically get 60–75% of the claimed range. Use our range map to see what that means on your streets.

Charging time

Big batteries take longer to charge. Some models offer fast chargers that cut this dramatically.

Weight

More battery means more weight. Long-range scooters are often 60–120 lb.

Frequently asked questions

Which electric scooter has the longest range?

In our catalog, the Segway GT3 Pro claims the most (86 mi in eco mode), followed by the Hiboy Titan Pro (80 mi at 9.3 mph).

How much real range should I expect?

Usually 60–75% of the claim. Riding fast, cold weather, hills and a heavier rider all reduce it further.

Does riding mode affect range?

A lot. Sport or race modes can cut range roughly in half compared with eco mode.
