What it's like to own
The MAX G2 is the scooter many reviewers call the most comfortable commuter under $1,000. A 1,000 W-peak rear motor tops out at 22 mph, and the 551 Wh battery is rated for 43 miles (about 30 in independent testing). The charger is built in, so you just plug in a cable.
It's packed with safety kit: traction control, self-healing tubeless tires, a hydraulic front fork and rear spring suspension, turn signals, a 2-year warranty and both UL 2272 and UL 2271 certification. Apple Find My support helps if it's stolen.
At 53.5 lb it's heavy to carry, and the front drum brake is adequate rather than strong. 14% of ratings are 1-star, including one owner whose scooter broke down four times in a year; most owners praise its hill power and all-terrain feel.
