At 24 lb and $160, the W3 is the kind of scooter people buy for campus, the last mile from the train, or quick trips around the neighborhood. You get a 500 W peak motor (350 W rated), a 36 V 7.8 Ah battery rated for 15–21 miles, three speed modes topping out at 18 mph, 8.5-inch pneumatic tires, a headlight, brake light, IPX4 splash protection and app control with cruise mode.
It's a popular pick — over 5,000 sold last month — and most owners are happy: it's easy to assemble, folds into a car trunk and feels sturdier than the price suggests. Treat the numbers as best-case, though: owners see about 15 mph on the flat, and a 165 lb rider found it crawling up a gentle hill.
One in five ratings is 1-star, mostly for quality control: soft screws that strip, fasteners that loosen with vibration, a folding latch that failed, and at least one unit with damaged wiring out of the box. Buy it for flat, short commutes, check the fasteners regularly, and keep the return window in mind.
