What it's like to own
The V1S Pro is a classic mid-size commuter. A 500 W hub motor tops out at 22 mph, a replaceable 10.5 Ah battery is rated for up to 22 miles, and suspension at both ends works with 10-inch honeycomb tires to take the edge off rough pavement — without ever needing a pump or a patch kit.
It's UL 2272 certified, has a dual braking system, a bright headlight and brake light, and an app that locks the scooter and adds cruise control. At 36 lb it folds to 24 inches tall, light enough for a car trunk or a short flight of stairs. Owners call it easy to set up (four screws), quiet and comfortable on flat ground.
Hills are the weak spot: several full-size riders say it crawls up inclines and drains the battery quickly when climbing. About 12% of ratings are 1-star, including one owner who calls the wheel area poorly built. If your commute is mostly flat, it's one of the better values in its class.
