What it's like to own
The MAX Pro is Hiboy's long-range model. A 48 V, 720 Wh battery is almost twice the S2 Pro's, rated for up to 46.6 miles in Eco. The 500 W motor (650 W peak) reaches 22 mph in Sport mode.
Big 11-inch air tires and suspension at both ends make it more comfortable than solid-tire commuters, and sealed drum brakes front and rear need little maintenance. It's UL 2272 certified and IPX4. At 51.6 lb it's a two-hand lift, and charging takes 8–9 hours.
Owners in flat cities call it life-changing, but many note the speed and range are best-case. Complaints include electrical faults and air tires that are hard to repair when they puncture.
